[/p]DOWNLOAD -Times of a MartyrHip Hop’s newest conscience goes by the moniker Grace the Martyr. Grace meaning gift to the people, and martyr in its original form means one who has a lifetime mission to bear witness even in the face of death. Grace settled on his unique moniker as it was a testament to his past and what he believes his infinite purpose is on earth. “I’ve always known I have something I am supposed to give,” Grace says.[/p]Growing up between Florida and Georgia, southern culture and values were instilled in him from birth. Writing was a natural gift and he began writing poetry to express himself. As a teen, Grace was drawn to music, especially hip hop. He related to artists such as Father MC as well as Snoop Dogg and Positive K. Closest to his heart were 2Pac for his passionate approach, Ice Cube for his conscientious aggression and Andre 3000 for his creative yet clever wordplay. [/p] Throughout high school Grace honed his skills as an emcee and took every chance to network with other artists. He joined a group for awhile and experienced a regional success but eventually he realized that he needed to focus on his solo project and persevere towards his destiny.[/p]Today Grace the Martyr knows he is ready to fulfill his purpose and begin sharing his stories of life’s tragedies and triumphs. Years of trials and tribulations ups and downs and, he continued writing and recording. The result is his debut album The Southern Odyssey. The first single off of The Southern Odyssey is Grace’s introductory debut, “Times of a Martyr.” The autobiographical single tells Grace’s background with creative wordplay intertwined with a hip hop track laced with jazz, blues and soul.[/p]Today “Good music influences everything," he says “I tell stories that everyone can relate to regardless of their gender or even age. They are my stories… his stories….her stories. Music has no boundaries.”[/p]written by Christal Jordan/Enchanted PR[/p]For press inquiries and or interviews please contact Ashlea Perkins at enchantedashlea@gmail.com or phone Enchanted PR 678/499-0297[/url][/p][b][/p]Follow GRACE THE MARTYR
