Fab’s  Girl Chimes In On The 30 Day Rule Debate

(Atlanta, GA) Emily B also known as the girlfriend of hip hop artist Fabolous and most recently star of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop, chatted with independent filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz regarding his upcoming independent film 30 Day Rule. Shabazz’s film which he co-wrote with entertainment publicist Christal Jordan, deals with issues plaguing today’s relationships, mainly lying and which gender is better at spinning falsehoods. When asked if she believed in female intuition Emily was quick to respond. “Absolutely! A women intuition is definitely real, it’s something you feel within. We always know when something is going on and we are going to get to the bottom of it all the time. Men are not so in tune, so they do not understand that." Emily went on to say that men should be honest in relationships even at the risk of losing the woman. “I would rather be hurt by the truth. I would never like to be protected by a lie. I think honesty is very important. Without, honesty there is no trust and without trust there is nothing.”[/p]As star of one of VH1’s newest and highest rating reality shows detailing romance on the entertainment tip, Emily and fellow cast mates, Chrissy (girlfriend of rapper Jim Jones) and R&B trying-to-be songstress Olivia spend Monday evenings primetime lamenting the issues of being the celebrity “main chick”. While Emily admits she was apprehensive about the response from her being on the show, she feels audiences have embraced her and her issues regarding her relationship with the platinum selling rapper Fabolous. “Its been more empowering than anything. I have so many women coming up to me on the streets, telling me they can relate to me. I had a woman the other day come up to me and just start crying, saying 'she can relate and was going through a similar situation'. It was so touching to me that I can use my story to impact other people. I feel good about that,” Emily says. She hopes to use Love and Hip Hop as a springboard for her future endeavors including a new fashion line. "Of course, I'm still working on my stylist company but, I'm also working on a clothing line called Emily B. It's a woman wear that is going to be trendy and affordable.I'm looking to launch in early 2012. A lot of young woman are going to be able to afford it without it breaking your pocket, " Emily explains.[/p]

Love and Hip Hop airs on VH1 on Monday nights at 8/7C. Shabazz and partner Christal Jordan are currently working on bringing the 30 Day Rule to theatres for a 2012 release. They plan to start shooting in Atlanta summer 2011.
